Born into two families of vignerons, it is not surprising that Anne and Philippe Gimonnet decided to follow the foot- steps of their ancestors and in 1986 the first bottles of Champagne Gimonnet-Gonet were crafted. Since then, their only objective has been to produce champagnes of the highest quality with finesse and delicacy.
In 2012 they were joined by their son, Charles, whom shares the same commitment and desire to continue what was started many decades ago by previous generations of the family. Starting with just 5 hectares in 1986, their estate now covers 13.5 hectares, mainly in Grand Cru villages of La Côte des Blancs: Chouilly, Cramant, Oiry, Oger and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, the heartland of Chardonnay.

Their vineyard is spread on 23 blocks located almost all in the village of Marfaux. The vines are planted on the southern slope of the hillside and each bear their name, sometimes evocative as “Les Gouttes d’Or”. The majority and historical variety of our terroir is Pinot Meunier, appreciated for its fruity and richness, it is the base of their assemblages, but they also grow Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which permit to propose a varied range of Champagnes.

The Meyer family has a tradition as vignerons in Blienschwiller that dates back to 1722. Hubert Meyer and now since 2009, his son Pierre, a graduate in oenology, vinify the wines of this estate of about 10 hectares. The range of their good vintages is divided, as is often the case in the region, into Vins de Tradition, dedicated to the 7 Alsatian grape varieties and Vins de Prestige, made from plots selected at harvest when the vintage allows it.
The Prestige range includes Pinot Noir aged in barrels, Pinot Gris and Riesling from the Grand Cru Winzenberg Vineyard. Pierre Meyer also makes delicious Crémant d’Alsace Blanc and Rosé Brut following the Methode Champenoise.Converted in Biodynamie since 2019, the wines really express the quality of the terroir and their varietal.

Unable to benefit from a family heritage, he works to bring together two small aging farms. Christophe FERRARI currently operates 14 hectares of vineyards in IRANCY SAINT-BRIS and CHABLIS.
Concerned about the quality of his wines, Christophe knew how to preserve the traditional methods of vinification like the aging in oak barrels, by associating modern techniques favorable to the improvement of the quality and the hygiene of the wine.

Domaine René Leclerc is a family farm of 24 acres since 1962 succeeding René Bernollin. Their philosophy is to make wines with the same passion for different terroirs that are not technical. René and his son, François emphasize the fruit component by pressing the grapes (old 1951 press) for only 3 hours to avoid bitter tannins and utilize used barrels only.
“Too much oak”, Rene says, “dries out a wine and makes it less pleasurable.” For the Leclerc family, this is art, not simply a scientic recipe. Today, they are one of the best known and most highly respected craftsmen in Burgundy.

The estate, located at Montagnac in the Hérault département about ten kilometres inland from the Mediterranean, stands on top of a hill overlooking the Thau coastal lagoon. The vines grow on slopes facing the sea and thus benefit from maritime breezes that carry in moisture to counter the effect of summer drought. Spring frosts are rare, the mild temperatures favour good ripening of the grapes.
The vines themselves are protected from the prevailing north and north-westerly winds (known locally as the cers and tramontane) which on occasion are violent enough to damage immature canes. The fifty plots that make up the estate vineyards stand around the château in a typically Mediterranean environment. Château Durfort-Vivens, a Second Growth in Margaux, takes its name from the Durfort de Duras family, who settled in the region in the 14th century. The estate’s reputation grew in the late 18th century, earning high praise from Thomas Jefferson, who ranked it just after Lafite, Latour, and Margaux. The 1855 classification confirmed its status as Deuxième Cru Classé.
In 1937, the estate came under the ownership of the Lurton family, passionate guardians of Bordeaux terroirs. Lucien Lurton restored the vineyard, and in 1992 his son Gonzague took the helm, modernizing the estate while preserving its unique Margaux identity.

The Libéral family founded the estate at the beginning of the 18th century. Generation after generation, they succeeded in forming a vineyard consisting of some of the best soil in Pauillac. Château Haut Bages Libéral was included among the fifth growths in the 1855 classification. Since the arrival of the Villars family in 1983, Haut Bages Libéral has gradually recovered its formal glory.
Today, the property is run by Claire Villars Lurton who modernised the winemaking facilities and introduced new, environmentally-friendly methods.

The Bouscaut vineyards have existed since the 17th century on the commune of Cadaujac, within the Graves appellation. Called Haut Truchon, it was renamed Château Bouscaut in 1929 after the locally given name. The wines of Château Bouscaut were recognized and consecrated in 1953, when it was awarded the envied status of Graves Cru Classé, for both its white and red wine.
Bouscaut was then acquired in 1979 by Lucien Lurton, a well known Bordeaux winemaker who already owned at least ten other prestigious châteaux in appellations such as Margaux and Barsac. Today the fourth generation, Sophie Lurton, Lucien’s daughter, is in charge. She inherited the estate in 1992, and Laurent Cogombles, her husband, an ENITA graduate, has been very involved with Bouscaut since 1998.

Château d’Arche is located in the heart of the village of Sauternes, the most famous of the five villages where Sauternes an exceptional wine is produced. Located 40km south of Bordeaux, the specificity of the vineyard is created by the Garonne and the Ciron rivers. The meeting of the cold waters of the Ciron and the warmer waters of the Garonne generates from the end of summer a morning fog providing optimal humidity.
The dry weather in the afternoon dries out the grapes and concentrates the aromas. Its exceptional location, combined with this diversity of soils, gives Château d´Arche the ability to produce wines of great richness and very specific taste qualities: power on the gravel, aromas on the clays and delicacy on the silts.

Founded in 1993 by Daniel Cauzit and Roger Thiéry, Domaine d’Homs is today in the hands of the new generation. Charlène and Sébastien whom work every day to perpetuate the history of this young estate and make it evolve according to their values. Anxious to preserve this extraordinary environment in which they grew up, and for one day to pass it on, they continue the work undertaken for several years now towards an agriculture in symbiosis with nature.
The estate will complete its conversion to Organic Farming in 2022. Our 12 hectares vineyard is planted at an altitude of 260 meters, on clay-limestone plateaux dating from the Kimmeridgian, a succession of layers of marl (gray clay) and limestone. This “stony” terroir offers the drainage necessary to allow the vine to plant its roots in the limestone rock, thus giving a better quality of tannins and minerality to the wine.

The Cognac Vaudon brand focuses on a single “cru” of cognac: The Fins Bois, the widest cru of the region. Its light soil is made from hard, superficial calcareous clay (silicified). It brings body and softness to their cognacs. This cru is known to age quickly and develops spicy and liquorice notes very early. It all started in 1771 and today, Anne-Marie and Pierre Vaudon are the custodians of this history and know- how.
Their land is the object of all their attention using sustainable agricultural practices that aim at giving back to the soil what they draw through their harvests, while respecting its biology.

Built in Mélida de Peñafiel in 1980, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero region, it is surrounded by its own vines, which express the best quality of the Tempranillo variety. The Pagos de Valcerracín winery is about a family of emigrants who went in search of a better destination from Argentina to Spain, they also tell the story of the new generations that returned to fulfill the promises made to their grandparents to produce wines that represent the essence of area.
Pagos de Valcerracín wines stand out for their aromatic quality, freshness and unctuousness where the wood is closely linked with the fruit. Its reds are made with the Tinta País variety, also known as Tempranillo. Important for the winery and the area is its aging in French oak barrels, obtaining wines that rest from a minimum of 10 months to a maximum of 18 months, such is the case of Peñafiel Edicion Limitada.

Altavins is a small winery founded by Joan Arrufi in 2001 and located within the D.O. Terra Alta which has a spectacular landscape that is typical of the interior Mediterranean. The soil contains varied textures that are rich in calcareous rocks, which provide excellent drainage, and poor in organic matter. The surrounding land is teeming with vines and sits between 350 and 550 meters above sea level flowing in flat plateaus, hills and valleys.
It is characterized by a dry Mediterranean climate with low rainfall, abundant sunshine and two dominant winds; El Cerç, which comes from the interior and El Garbí or seawind, which comes from the coast. Joan’s philosophy is simple: Identity, Honesty and Mediterranean Spirit. He takes the utmost care when working with the grapes so that he may capture all of their virtues and, with minimum intervention, he harnesses their potential, always seeking to obtain excellence in his wines and to extract the essence of this area with them.

Can Vallès de la Riera has existed since 1486, the year in which Jeroni Valles married the Elionor Guerau and founded this family, which has maintained the surname Vallès to this day. Since 1486, there have been 22 generations, one after another, who have guarded and passed from parents to children this wonderful farm, with vines, olive trees, almond trees, pine forest and holm oaks.
Located in the Mediterranean basin, just 60 km southwest of the city of Barcelona, and 20 km from the sea, which can be seen perfectly from the top of the mountain range above the house. The vines are at a height ranging from 330 m to 400 m. The soil is calcareous, with a clay area and another area of frank and stony terrain.

We moved to the Willamette Valley in the spring of 1998 in pursuit of creating the next great Pinot Noir as well as creating an environment where our family could thrive. We believe in working organically with nature to create a healthy environment for our vines and family. We ran across a then out of the way place that showed great promise for growing quality Pinot Noir. After spending many weeks of walking the land and analyzing the soils, we decided this would be the future home of Coeur de Terre.
We are very hands on and are responsible for all aspects of the vineyard and winery operation. All new plants are grafted at the estate in our greenhouse from hand selected vines in our vineyard, all viticulture activity is directed by us and all winemaking is done onsite by us in micro sized lots keeping all blocks separate until final bottling.

This property was purchased in 2011 by Claire & Gonzague Lurton, prestigious Owners & Winemakers of two Grand Cru Classé chateaux in Margaux and Paulliac. Acaibo is a very special wine to us as it represents the first vintage of our new endeavor here in California. Coming on the heels of two rather tough years, this vintage proved to be spectacular.
The grapes on our estate enjoyed a long hang time with warm days and cool nights that led to a mid October pick. We welcome you to share this new venture with us: Trinité Estate and the wine we lovingly call Acaibo: a proud blend of our French tradition with a very American spirit of adventure.

“We speak often about what Soliste means. Not because we need the reassurance; to the contrary, we are quite clear in our mission to craft the best possible wines in the new world. For us, Soliste represents a way of life. It is a humble and elusive quest for excellence based upon a shared vision rooted in deep friendship. The journey that is Soliste reflects the passion and commitment born of old world beliefs and traditions joined in a way that transcends individual ideas. We are particularly inspired by winemakers who have challenged the status quo to elevate their region or cépage to grand cru level. Central to our philosophy is to be bold, experimental, and take risks; not arbitrarily, but with intent, diligence, and a long term vision.” Claude Koeberle & Donald Plumley, Owners & Winemakers

Originally assistant winemaker for Santa Barbara County Label, Dragonette Cellars, James Sparks left Dragonette to join Liquid Farm as the boutique label’s very first, dedicated winemaker. James transitioned over to Liquid Farm at the start of harvest 2013, and continues to make Liquid Farm’s variety of wines in addition to Kings Carey Wines.
James’ work ethic and attention to details allow his wines to speak for themselves…simply put, they undergo fewer manipulations which are often due to necessary fixes or corrections in the winemaking process.

Mezcalosfera by Mezcaloteca, founded in 2015, exports small batches of traditional mezcal crafted by seven Maestros Mezcaleros in Oaxaca. With no fixed production schedule, each mezcal is made only when the magueys are ready in their native regions. The distillery in Miahuatlán, certified by COMERCAM, provides the legal framework while giving the maestros freedom to produce in very limited quantities and gain international recognition.
Mezcalosfera focuses on blends, the oldest and most ecological method of mezcal production. Alcohol correction is done without adding water, often resulting in higher proof spirits. To secure the future of mezcal, they also cultivate local magueyes from seed, reducing reliance on purchased plants and preserving biodiversity.
